MoonGlow × Sungboon Editor: Green Tomato Brunch Dedicated to Pore Care
At Domami Farm on September 19, the MoonGlow universe turned a little greener.
Together with Sungboon Editor, we hosted a brunch dedicated to one of the Korean brand’s best-known lines — Green Tomato, a range created to target the appearance of pores, excess sebum, uneven skin texture, and loss of elasticity.
It was a gathering with bloggers and members of the MoonGlow community where skincare went far beyond the shelf. Guests tested the products, explored the textures, learned more about the key ingredients, and used questions about pores and sebum as a starting point for a broader conversation about how to build a well-balanced skincare routine.
And, of course, everything unfolded in an atmosphere inspired by the star ingredient of the day: green tomato.
Why Green Tomato?
Sungboon Editor is a Korean brand built around the idea of ingredient + effect, and Green Tomato is its line specifically focused on pore care. The brand combines green tomato extract with different supporting ingredients depending on the product — including NMN, Niacinamide, PHA, Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol, and sebum-control ingredients.
At the brunch, we wanted to go beyond the simple idea of a “pore care product.”
Because pores are not something we can erase or permanently “close.” However, their appearance can become less noticeable when a routine addresses the factors that make them look more visible: excess sebum, impurity buildup, dehydration, uneven texture, or loss of elasticity.
That is exactly why the Green Tomato line is not built around just one serum. It is designed as a complete routine, from cleansing to hydration.
First step: pore care starts with proper cleansing
One of the topics we discussed was cleansing.
For combination or oily skin, it can be tempting to choose the strongest cleansing formula possible. But stripping the skin of oil does not automatically make it more balanced.
Sungboon Editor Green Tomato Deep Pore Cleansing Ultra Whipping Foam combines green tomato extract with BHA, Panthenol, hydrating ingredients, and barrier-supporting components. Its dense foam is designed to remove impurities and excess sebum, especially for skin with visible pores and a tendency toward buildup.
The key idea we discussed at the event was simple: a pore-care routine does not start with a strong acid. It starts with the right cleanser.
Hydration matters in a pore-care routine too
A pore-care product does not necessarily have to be mattifying or exfoliating.
Sungboon Editor Green Tomato NMN Pore Hydro Soothing Toner 350 ml is a perfect example. It has a lightweight, watery texture and combines green tomato with NMN, Niacinamide, PHA, Panthenol, Ceramides, and multiple forms of Hyaluronic Acid. This allows the toner to address skin texture, the appearance of pores, and dehydration at the same time.
It is especially useful for combination or oily skin that looks shiny on the surface but feels tight after cleansing.
Because yes — oily skin can also be dehydrated.
Star product: Green Tomato NMN Pore Minimizing Ampoule
At the heart of the line is the Green Tomato NMN Pore Minimizing Ampoule. The formula is designed for skin with visible pores, excess sebum, and uneven texture, and combines green tomato, NMN, Niacinamide, PHA, Hyaluronic Acid, and soothing ingredients. Its fluid texture absorbs quickly without leaving the skin feeling heavy.
It is the product that best reflects the philosophy of the line: pore care should not be limited to exfoliation alone.
For a more intensive approach, there is also the Green Tomato Pore Boosting Deep Shot Ampoule, formulated with spicules, green tomato, Niacinamide, Volufiline, Hydrolyzed Collagen, and Hyaluronic Acid. Because it contains spicules, it may cause a mild tingling sensation and should be introduced into the routine more gradually.
Hydration without the heavy feel
The final step was not overlooked.
Sungboon Editor Green Tomato NMN Pore Minimizing Cream 50 ml has a lightweight texture and is especially suited to normal, combination, or oily skin with visible pores and excess sebum.
The formula combines green tomato extract, NMN, Niacinamide, Anti-Sebum P, PHA, Hyaluronic Acid, and Squalane, providing hydration without turning the last step of the routine into a heavy or sticky layer.
This matters because one of the most common mistakes in oily-skin routines is skipping moisturizer out of fear of shine. Hydration and sebum control are not mutually exclusive.
Key takeaways from the brunch
The MoonGlow × Sungboon Editor brunch was not just about discovering new products.
It was about better understanding why we use a product and where it fits into a skincare routine.
We talked about pores without making unrealistic promises that they can simply “disappear.” About sebum without assuming the skin needs to be dried out. About exfoliation, but also hydration. About active ingredients, but also the importance of balance between them.
And the Green Tomato line was a great example of this approach: the same concern — visible pores — can be addressed through several complementary steps that work together.
What can a Green Tomato skincare routine look like?
Cleanser → toner → ampoule → cream
Depending on your skin’s needs, the routine can also be complemented with double-cleansing products, masks, or more intensive treatments.
You do not need to use every product in the line for the routine to work. What matters is choosing the steps that suit your skin and building the routine gradually.
On September 19, we brought Green Tomato by Sungboon Editor closer to the MoonGlow community — not just as a product line, but as a routine we could see, test, and understand together.
Green on the table. Green Tomato in your skincare.
